Fed’s Clarity Triggers a Relief Squeeze
Patient, observant capital would have found an excellent entry window this week. Early in the week, the market remains very cautious ahead of Wednesday’s (16 September) FOMC meeting. Indices initially dropped on the rate hike and hawkish dots plot released post-FOMC meeting. However, policy clarity motivated sidelined capital to step in especially against heavily defensive pre-meeting positioning.
The result was a broad-based relief rebound the following Thursday, led by AI hardware, biotech, and crypto names. This provided a much-needed breath of fresh air, with solid potential to evolve into the next leg higher. After consolidating for three months since mid-June, equity positioning has been light, and the risk-reward skew has turned favorable for adding exposure. Sentiment indicators like CNN Fear and Greed Index suggests the market is still in FEAR region last Friday.

A broad market ETF offers a straightforward way to participate on broader recovery. At the single-stock level, however, rebound momentum is concentrated in names and segments where company-specific catalysts landed at the exact right moment. For instance, in the CPU space, Intel (INTC) is readying price increases while industry trackers pointed to an expanding server CPU TAM for AMD. Adding to this momentum, SK Hynix and Intel initiated exploratory discussions to manufacture memory chips on U.S. soil for the first time. Neocloud provider Nebius (NBIS) notified clients of an impending 15%–20% rate increase across high-demand GPU clusters, demonstrating robust pricing power amid persistent capacity bottlenecks.

Regulatory Overhang Clears as Crypto and Metals Advance in Lockstep
Crypto was hit hard early in the week after the CLARITY Act stalled in a 49–50 Senate procedural vote. Bitcoin shed 3%–5% toward ~$75,000–$76,000, while high-beta crypto equities (COIN, CRCL, MSTR) dropped 8%–10%. Yet by Thursday and Friday, the space mounted an aggressive reversal, breaking out above its late-August resistance levels.
Markets viewed the failed vote as deferring oversight to existing SEC and CFTC frameworks while clearing a major speculative overhang. Powering through perceived bad news is textbook bullish price action, and astute capital has already stepped in. Notably, this breakout aligns with bounces off support across Gold and Silver, with digital assets and precious metals advancing in lockstep.

The upcoming week will test whether this relief rebound can evolve into a full-fledged new leg higher. Light positioning and the duration of the recent consolidation suggest a favorable risk-reward profile for tactical entry at current levels.
